There is no question that Charlotte Hornets star Kemba Walker is one of the best guards in the NBA. With his lightning quick speed, excellent ball handling, and an improved shot, Walker has transitioned into a franchise star. Although it is unlikely that the Hornets will make the postseason, Walker has been one consistent bright spot for the Hornets.

This season, Walker is averaging 22.9 points and 5.7 assists per contest, while shooting 39 percent from the 3-point line. Against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night, Walker performed a brilliant highlight play at the expense of the entire Suns defensive unit.

Walker certainly has one of the best ball handling skill sets in the NBA. He cleverly came off the pick to split the defense, finishing with a layup to beat the buzzer. This season, the Hornets have not played well.

Disappointingly, the Hornets haven't shown the magic they did during the 2016 season where they made the postseason after an incredible regular season. When asked about whether he would consider staying in Charlotte for another major rebuild, Walker offered a vague answer, per Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

“I’m not sure. Nobody wants to lose. Especially not me,” Walker said at practice Friday, following the Hornets’ fifth consecutive loss Thursday, at home against the Brooklyn Nets. “I haven’t thought about any of that,” Walker said. “It’s something I’ve got to deal with whenever it happens. It’s just not something that has come up to me.”

Regardless of Kemba Walker's long-term plans, he is still an amazing point guard that can compete anywhere, as he has the capability of becoming a starting point guard for any team.
