Twitch streamer Jenelle ‘Indiefoxx’ Dagres lost her Twitch Partner status after her sixth ban on the platform just this year.

Indiefoxx saw significant growth in her channel over the past year. However, a lot of criticisms fall under her methods. So far, Twitch has banned Indiefoxx, a former Twitch Partner streamer, a total of six times just this year. Each ban only took at most three days before getting lifted. With her sixth ban, it appears that Twitch finally had enough, finally removing her Partner status.

The reason behind Indiefoxx's bans? The popular Twitch streamer has been embroiled in the controversial ASMR and Hot Tub meta issues. She, along with Amouranth, has been at the forefront of this issue. Both received significant growth in their viewership thanks to their methods.

Other streamers don't agree with their strategies, however. Over the past few weeks, Pokimane has been vocal about her disapproval of Twitch's way of handling these issues. Pokimane described the entire meta as a “ticking time bomb.” Meanwhile, Alinity, herself a controversial figure, feels that Twitch should have a heavier hand in dealing with repeat offenders.

So far, it seems like Twitch has decided to have a bit heavier hand indeed – removing Indiefoxx's Partner status is a good start. But Alinity did mention that if Twitch won't place stricter measures in the enforcement of their TOS, then sexual content will continue to be prevalent on the platform. Moving forward, we might see Indiefoxx return to her usual program. Her content is effective in raking in views and money. But will Twitch pull the trigger on permanently banning repeat offenders like her?
