Hitting that one Rookie Logoman of any top star in the NBA right now is the dream for basketball card collectors everywhere. That's why it makes sense for someone as rich as Drake to splurge more than $200,000 to hit that ever-elusive Triple Logoman of LeBron James because it doesn't get any better than that. But for one card enthusiast, this massive Giannis Antetokounmpo pull will forever remain the one that got away in a story that will leave card collectors stunned.

In a post by Find Your Trove on Instagram recently, a signed Panini 2013 National Treasures Rookie Logoman patch card of Giannis Antetokounmpo was shared. The pull itself was encased inside a min BGS 9 slab, which as those in the hobby assumed, greatly amplifies its market value. The thing is, one of those who previously owned this card let it go for around $7,000.

In a post that dates back to 2014, an individual who goes by the name of Amerigo Vespuccc said that it was eventually his intent to sell his personal collection of cards, presumably those of the Milwaukee Bucks' All-Star. Furthermore, the Antetokounmpo Logoman card had yellow stains and a dent on it, which helped the owner sell it for a measly amount of $7,000.

While the said price is laughable nowadays, one must remember that $7,000 was a big amount of money for a single card way back in 2014. And as the years went by, Panini eventually replaced the card to compensate for the said damages, which explains the new autograph of Antetokounmpo on it.

Of course, the real kicker here is its current value in the market right now. Last 2020, this Giannis Antetokounmpo Rookie Logoman Auto was purchased by Alt, an alternative trading platform, for $1.85 million. And as the Bucks' All-Star forward gets better on the court, potentially winning another title in the coming years, this massive pull is also expected to become more valuable.

No one could have predicted the whole hobby to become what it is right now, especially the value of this Antetokounmpol Rookie Logoman Auto to go up like crazy. Nevertheless, it still leaves a sting inside every collector when imagining how this card's previous owner could have felt when seeing it on the market right now.
