Isaiah Thomas is ready to do everything to play in the NBA again. If he need to suit up in the G League to continue to showcase that he still has it, so be it.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Thomas has signed in the G League and will play in the G League showcase scheduled from December 19 to 22 in Las Vegas. While there is no guarantee that he would be signed by an NBA team, being able to play in the league circle and being seen by teams will certainly go a long way in his bid to return.

Isaiah Thomas recently played for the USA Basketball secondary team in the World Cup Qualifiers, and he certainly appeared to be in amazing shape. Against Cuba, he scored 21 points including a clutch 3-pointer that sealed their 95-90 win.

On the other hand, in their shocking 97-88 loss to Mexico, IT bagged another 21 points to go along with 10 assists.

While he is no longer the same explosive scorer he once was with the Boston Celtics, Thomas has certainly proven that he can still play at an elite level and contribute offensively–even off the bench.

Thomas played last season in the NBA, albeit on a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. He featured in just three games and has been out of the league ever since. IT did suit up for the Washington Wizards in 2019-20 and put up 12.2 points on 40.8 percent shooting.

With several teams in the NBA needing some kind of offensive boost off the bench, Thomas might finally find a way back to the big leagues. However, first things first, he has to impress in the G League and show everyone what he is capable of.
