Calais Campbell played incredibly well in the three years he spent with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sure enough, his already-impressive career with the Arizona Cardinals reached new heights in Jacksonville.

Now that he's moving to the Baltimore Ravens for a chance to win a Super Bowl ring, fans are looking back at his stint with the team. While some fans are regretting that they weren't able to win anything with Campbell, he revealed that his incredible run with the Jags was supposed to come earlier.

A Jaguars fan wished Campbell was drafted by the team in 2008. He then replied with an interesting anecdote saying that Jacksonville did promise to take him in the first round of the draft. Unfortunately, they traded up and got Derrick Harvey instead.

“Jacksonville called me the night before the draft and told me they were drafting me at 25 with their first-round pick,” Calais Campbell told the fan. “I was so mad when they traded up to get Derrick Harvey! But it all worked out. I've had a dream of a career! Only thing left to do is get that Super Bowl Ring!!!”

Jaguars fans definitely know how their Harvey experiment panned out. He only had three years with the Jaguars without making much of an impact. He then spent his final year of professional football with the Denver Broncos before fading into obscurity. Meanwhile, Campbell was a two-time Pro Bowl defensive end by the time he signed with Jacksonville.

Time cannot be turned back, and the Jaguars cannot wallow on what could have been. Nevertheless, they are thankful that some of Campbell's best years were played with them.
