It seems as if in every week of the NFL season, one player manages to accomplish a feat not done before in the storied history of the league. Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Josh Allen did just that in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills.

In the late stages of the second quarter, Allen managed to sack Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen with ease.

Allen has now recorded 5.5 sacks on the season, which leads all Jaguars defensive players.

This sack is quite a historic one, as it is the first time since the NFL began to count sacks in 1982 that a player sacked a quarterback with the same name.

More so, this sack is impressive for Allen considering that the Bills offensive line came into this contest with only eight sacks allowed through seven games in the campaign.

In a season filled with dismay for Jacksonville, Allen has been a bright spot for the team. He simply continues to showcase his prowess as a pass rusher, and he has also been a keen contributor in stopping the run.

Even as the Jaguars continue to retool their roster, they sure can count on Allen to be a cornerstone player on the defensive side of the ball.
