Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is already well-known for being one of the best defensive backs in football, but he still thinks he has a lot to learn going forward, especially in terms of growing as a person:

“I'm growing, man, it's Year 4 for me,” Ramsey said on Adam Schefter's podcast. “It's a different me. A lot of people think they know me. They don't really know me. But hey, that's okay.”

Ramsey, who has dissed plenty of NFL players in previous years, made it clear that he won't be doing much of that this year when Schefter asked him about evaluating the quarterbacks he is set to face in 2019:

“You want to do this again, huh? I'm not going to do this again, but we do play some good quarterbacks this year, of course, but probably the quarterback I'm most excited for is Nick Foles,” Ramsey told Schefter.

That's certainly a smart move by Ramsey, opting to praise his own signal-caller rather than ripping opponents.

The 24-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games and finished with 65 tackles, three interceptions and 13 passes defended en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Ramsey, who played his collegiate football at Florida State, was originally selected by the Jaguars with the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. He went on to appear in all 16 contests during his rookie year, tallying 65 tackles, a couple of picks, 14 passes defended and a defensive touchdown.

Then, in 2017, Ramsey made the Pro Bowl and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection courtesy of totaling 63 tackles, four interceptions and 17 passes defended.
