Following the Jacksonville Jaguars' 24-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, it saw the league levy down a one-game suspension on running back Leonard Fournette for his actions getting into an altercation on the field with Bills defensive lineman Shaq Lawson.

In response to that, Fournette has decided to file an appeal to the one-game ban that will be heard on Tuesday afternoon, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

There is a chance that this suspension could be appealed by the league, but that is out of Fournette's hands as all he can do is wait to see if he will be able to play on Sunday afternoon against the red-hot Indianapolis Colts. It occurred well after there were some pushing and shoving between both teams, which forced  Fournette to come off the bench and get in a bit of a tussle with Lawson out of bounds near the stands.

The fact that he wasn't in the game and had come all the way across to get involved could make it quite difficult for him to get his suspension reversed. There have been some crazier things that happened in the appeal process, but it doesn't look like it will be a situation that works out in his favor.

Prior to that fight, he had been putting together one of his best performances of the season with 95 rushing yards on 18 carries with a pair of touchdowns, along with three catches for 13 receiving yards. Fournette could have added to that outing with what could have been his first 100 rushing yard performance of the season, but his ejection put him out of the game and his team without their primary offensive weapon.

If the appeal stands, veteran running back Carlos Hyde should be in line to get a spot start against the Colts.
