Utah Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell blasted the officiating during their game against the Indiana Pacers that resulted in three ejections. Mitchell was tossed in the fourth quarter of their home loss against Indiana as a subsequent result of an initially heated scuffle between big men Rudy Gobert and Myles Turner.

According to the two-time All-Star, the game was not officiated properly, and that fourth-quarter tussle was definitely avoidable if and only if the referees handled things earlier in the game.

“It's really at a point now where the refs are letting it get out of hand. Have this energy in the first quarter,” Mitchell said (via Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune).

The Jazz guard alluded to a lot of physicalities early on that were seemingly tolerated by the in-game officials which, according to Mitchell, led to a ton of frustration down the stretch. Mitchell also mentioned that the referees actually informed him after halftime that they did miss a ton of calls which they couldn't do anything much about at that point.

“Draw the line early instead of letting sh-t build-up,” a frustated Mitchell added.
Clearly, the referees let things play out throughout the game which resulted in a heated exchange between two very competitive bigs. It was a successful defensive stop from Turner on Gobert in the fourth quarter which really summed up the frustrating evening for the Jazz.
Gobert ended up dragging Turner to the floor which the Pacers center obviously did not appreciate. Tensions kept rising with some of the Jazz players, including Mitchell, getting into it with some of the members of the Pacers. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and nothing too crazy happened.
