Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has remained silent about all the trade and exit rumors involving him as of late. However, he wouldn't let a blatantly fake news about him and Quin Snyder make rounds on social media.

On Monday, a report surfaced that Mitchell refused to take a call from Snyder after the head coach stepped down from his role with the Jazz. The rumor made it seem like there's a strain in the relationship between the two which, clearly, wasn't the case.

Mitchell called out the fake report on Twitter and demanded for the media to stop the lies using his name.

“I choose to leave a lot of what y’all say alone but y’all gon stop blatantly lying on my name… god bless,” Mitchell wrote.

Donovan Mitchell and Quin Snyder had plenty of success together. While they were unable to compete for a championship, the team has become consistent playoff contenders under the veteran head coach.

The claim about the rejected phone call is also quite confusing given that there have been reports how Mitchell was concerned about the team's future following the departure of Snyder. Surely, he would have wanted to talk to his former coach after the decision instead of snubbing him.

Coming from Mitchell himself, it is best to not believe on rumors until he talks and addresses them directly.
