The Utah Jazz parted ways with one of their best players last Friday, trading Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a blockbuster deal. While they did receive a ton of draft capital and players in return, there has been no shortage of rumblings saying that Utah should now move Donovan Mitchell and hit the reset button.

The organization themselves are yet to even acknowledge trading their franchise star, but after a few seasons of playoff disappointment, you'd have to believe Danny Ainge and the Jazz front office have thought about it after dealing Gobert. Amid all the rumors, Mitchell himself took to Twitter and posted a rather cryptic message:

There was lots of love in the replies, with many Jazz fans saying how they still believe Mitchell can lead the franchise to a championship. Utah did get some intriguing pieces from Minny though, including Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, and Jarred Vanderbilt, among others.

However, their frontcourt just got a lot worse with the loss of Gobert. The chances of this team making a run at a title are very slim and it's clear they must grab another proven big to replace the Frenchman.

Mitchell is under contract until 2026 but as Brian Windhorst expressed on Wednesday morning, the star guard did question the Jazz front office after shipping off Gobert to the Wolves and Royce O'Neale to the Nets.

Windhorst also noted that Utah hasn't actually put Mitchell on the trade block, but if the right offer comes along, they'd be willing to part ways with their franchise cornerstone. There's a good chance that's exactly why Mitchell tweeted out what he did.

Will the Jazz blow it up? Only time will tell.
