The Utah Jazz will welcome back point guard Mike Conley to the mix for Tuesday's game versus the Orlando Magic, or at least so says teammate Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell presumably confirmed Conley's status as active prior to tip-off.

Conley has missed each of Utah's past five games due to a hamstring strain, forcing Mitchell to man the point guard slot with increased regularity. Emmanuel Mudiay also saw an increased run as a reserve, in addition to Joe Ingles looking revitalized during his stint among the starting five. However, they are expected to still play extended minutes, as Conley will be likely eased back.

It has been a difficult first season in Utah for Conley, who has shot just 36.9 percent from the floor across his first 21 games. His 13.9 points per game average is on pace for his lowest mark since 2011-12, which is even more drastic in the face of having averaged a career-high 21.1 points per contest with Memphis last year.

The Jazz entered the 2019-20 season with lofty expectations, and even though they have opened the year with just a 15-11 mark, a run through the Western Conference playoffs doesn't seem unattainable.

The team enters play Tuesday in possession of the No. 6 seed in the West despite not having seen the best ball that Conley can play. Ultimately, as long as he can find his groove by the time that the playoffs begin, Utah will be able to truly judge its key off-season acquisition when it matters most.
