The Utah Jazz got exposed on Monday night after they fell down to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of their playoff series.

Many expected the Jazz to win against the Luka Doncic-led Mavs. Dallas is a one-star team, and with their best player out, it was the best opportunity for Utah to jump to a 2-0 lead.

While they were able to get the job done in the opener, however, Game 2 was a different story for Utah as Jason Kidd and his men took advantage of the team's 3-point defense. As Tim MacMahon of ESPN noted, the Jazz allowed the Mavs to make 17 uncontested triples.

It certainly doomed Donovan Mitchell and co., with Mavs big man Maxi Kleber benefiting the most. Kleber made eight triples in the contest, seven of which were uncontested, to help Dallas take the 110-104 victory.

The Jazz are not a bad defensive team at all. In fact, they are in the top half of teams with the fewest 3-pointers allowed per game in the regular season. Nonetheless, they certainly need to focus on that come Game 3 if they want to avoid a repeat of what happened on Monday.

Kleber banked 25 points for the Mavs with his monster shooting night. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson dropped 41 on the Jazz, 18 of which came from 3-point land after he went 6-of-10 from deep.

Fortunately for Utah, they'll be heading home for Games 3 and 4. Hopefully, playing at home will help them elevate their game further to retake the lead.
