Veteran forward Jeff Green of the Utah Jazz was brutally honest in his assessment of his team at this point in the season. Per Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune, Green believes that the team's state is ‘low' right now.

As of this writing, the Jazz have a 12-10 record for sixth place in the Western Conference. They are on a three-game slump and have lost six of the last 10 games including a disappointing Eastern Conference road trip.

Their 121-96 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday might be a grave indication that there's something wrong with the Jazz. And it's not just their loss to the Lakers, but also to contender teams such as the Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers.

For the past three years, the Jazz have qualified for the playoffs. As such, they are expected to be among the top tier teams at this point already. But these losses against the elite teams and their mediocre record reveals that they haven't completely figured things out — that they are far from being a legitimate championship contender.

Perhaps the good thing about Green's comments is that they've accepted the reality that they're in right now. They've identified the problem. The next step is to find the solution and apply it.
