According to Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey, Joe Ingles of the Utah Jazz is a ‘legit star' in the league.

Casey shared his thoughts on Ingles' rather unassuming look. He may not look like one, but Ingles can ball with the best of them.

“He looks like he's slow, can't move, and has a bartender-type look. But he's a legit star in our league.”

For the past several years, Ingles has turned into one of the key pillars for the Jazz. His 3-point shooting, playmaking abilities, and overall knowledge about the game have made him one of the foundational pieces of the Quin Snyder-led squad. The Jazz have made the playoffs three straight years — a noteworthy achievement in the competitive Western Conference — and Ingles has definitely been a big part of their success.

Ingles, who's been part of the starting line up for the past two seasons, famously accepted a bench role to make room for Mike Conley. The Jazz acquired the veteran guard over the summer with hopes of forming a lethal back court duo with Donovan Mitchell. Some players are adamant when accepting a bench role — but Ingles wholeheartedly embraced this.

However, Conley's first season with the Jazz has been riddled with injuries. As such, Snyder has inserted him back into the starting five. And in the eleven games since Ingles returned as a Jazz starter, he has averaged 15.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists per game, while shooting 54.3 percent from 3-point country.

As the adage goes, don't judge a book by its cover. Ingles may not look like one but he's a beast on the basketball floor.
