Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio was superb last season for Quin Snyder’s men. He was so good in fact, that he had more 30-point performances than a long list of other scoring NBA stars.

Rubio has never been known to light it up during games, instead opting to play to his strength and create plays for his teammates. This alone makes it very surprising to see his name on top of John Wall, who's also a point guard but very capable of exploding on offense, Kevin Love, and Klay Thompson.

Before the start of last season, many people anticipated the Jazz to be a lottery team as then-franchise player Gordon Hayward signed with the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2017. Instead, the defensive-oriented outfit surprised everyone and was very successful in a tough Western Conference that saw Utah win a first-round playoff series against the heavily-favored Oklahoma City Thunder who boasted the likes of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul George.

The Jazz went on to lose to the high-powered Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Semifinals, but they transformed into one of the more enjoyable and promising teams in the league.

The Spanish-born playmaker averaged 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in his first season for the Jazz. Making his way from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the last offseason, the 27-year-old grew into becoming the perfect running partner for dynamic scorer Donovan Mitchell.

While his assists suffered a considerable plummet, his scoring and field goal percentage were both career-highs.
