When Gordon Hayward announced his decision last summer not to re-sign with the Utah Jazz and take his talents to the Boston Celtics, it was a huge blow to the Salt Lake City team as they lost who's arguably their best player. Their starting center, Rudy Gobert, had strong reactions following the development and even took to his Twitter account to fire some subtle shots against his former teammate.

However, with the Jazz are currently on a hot streak and making a strong push for the playoffs, showing that they are clearly past the point of dwelling on losing Hayward.

This has been confirmed as well recently by Gobert, who said that it doesn't matter to him anymore who his teammates are. He also added, via Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports, that his main focus right now is to continue winning.

“We're past that point,” Gobert said. “It doesn't matter who's with me, or who's not with me. I'm just trying to win. I'm not worried about that.”

Along with the impressive play of Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio, Gobert has been the catalyst for the Jazz all season long. He is averaging solid numbers of 14.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 2.3 blocks in 32.3 minutes, making it possible for his team to win nine straight games, including 21 of their last 23 outings.

If the Stifle Tower can continue playing at the high level he's currently on, not only will the Jazz be able to make it to the postseason, but it can also be his chance to raise his stock, and prove further that he indeed is one of the best centers in the NBA today.
