Thursday's matchup between the Utah Jazz and the Indiana Pacers got ugly midway through the gam. Jazz star Rudy Gobert and Pacers center Myles Turner got into it in the fourth quarter after the two tumbled. Gobert appeared to grab onto Turner's shorts as he was falling down, which the latter didn't like. The two were ejected along with Donovan Mitchell, who tried to intervene between the two.

After the game, Gobert had some… interesting comments. Here's what the Jazz center had to say: (via Eric Walden)

“It’s actually funny, because my boxing coach was at the game. The only game he’s come to this year. … If I don’t feel threatened, I’m not gonna throw a punch. And I didn’t feel threatened. If someone wants to fight, I’m easy to reach.”

The Frenchman also had a cheeky quip after that statement.

That's surely going to piss off Turner, who was visibly heated during the altercation. The Jazz would eventually lose the game 100 – 111, as they simply couldn't contain former Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon. You have to wonder if Gobert's and Mitchell's presence in the clutch would have helped the Jazz win the contest.

Such a shame, as Gobert was having a marvelous season for himself. He, along with Mitchell, will surely miss some time because of the impending suspensions. The Jazz should have enough personnel to keep themselves afloat without their dynamic duo. Jordan Clarkson might step into the starting five for a while, and Joe Ingles and Mike Conley are solid players that can keep the team rolling without the two.
