Utah Jazz players reportedly weren't happy Phoenix Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker checked back in to try for 60 points against them Monday in the final moments of the fourth quarter, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic.

The Jazz intentionally fouled other players on the Suns so Booker couldn't get to 60. Booker finished with 59 points in the Suns' 33-point loss:

That was a petty move by the Jazz to not let Devin Booker get to 60 points. However, it's completely understandable why they did it.

No team wants to be on the wrong end of a 60-point game. Even though the Jazz demolished the Suns, the competitiveness in the Utah players was telling them to not let Booker get to 60 points.

We saw something similar to this a couple of years ago in the All-Star Game. Paul George was close to breaking the record for most points scored in an All-Star Game, and the opposing players started double-teaming PG so he couldn't get the record.

Yes, the All-Star Game is an exhibition, but it points to just how competitive NBA players are.

With the win, the Jazz improved to 44-30 on the season, which is good for fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
