The Utah Jazz and Vivint Smart Home Arena announced on Tuesday that they have selected Ticketmaster as their exclusive ticketing partner starting next season. The partnership was finalized after all parties agreed to a multi-year deal, which also includes Smith's Ballpark, the home field of their Minor League Baseball team, the Salt Lake Bees.
Sales for tickets of Jazz home games will begin on Oct. 2, where fans will have the option of purchasing them via Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster mobile app, the team's official website or app, and even through phone at (801) 355-SEAT.
Steve Starks, Jazz and Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment president, spoke about the new partnership they have made with Ticketmaster and how excited they are about this new development, via Jazz.com. He then cited that the merge of Ticketmaster's technology to their mobile app will only make it easier for fans to purchase them, which will lead to more supporter's watching during home games.
“We are excited to work with Ticketmaster to provide our guests with a world-class ticketing experience,” said Steve Starks, president of the Utah Jazz and Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment. “The ability to integrate Ticketmaster’s capabilities directly into our mobile app will be a game changer for all our fans, especially season ticket holders.”
This coming season, the Jazz will look to continue their recent run of success by attempting to make it to the playoffs for the second consecutive year.Despite the exit of Gordon Hayward and George Hill, they were able to add key pieces this summer, who they think will fit well in their system and help them continue becoming a winning group.
Their ownership team is hoping that the partnership with Ticketmaster and having a competitive lineup could be enough to entice the fans even more to support the team, as they have been a very important part of the team's success as well.
