Joe Ingles of the Utah Jazz was aiming for a lob pass to teammate Rudy Gobert for an easy score. However, the Australian was the one who got the two points as the ball went straight into the rim.

Check out the clip below. Even Ingles' teammates were caught by surprise after the ball swished the net.

Ingles is one of the best shooters in the league today. So it's not a surprise that whenever he tosses the ball up, it goes straight into the ring.

He even claimed that he is the best shooter in the league in a post-game interview in the locker room. Though some felt that he was joking, he clarified his statements and was dead serious about his claims. Per Eric Woodyard of Deseret News, a reported asked Ingles if it's hard to maintain a certain level of confidence in shooting. The 31-year-old replied:

“No. I’m the best shooter in the league,” the newly turned 31-year-old Ingles shot back. “That’s a silly question.”

A few days later, Ingles followed up on his previous statement:

“Oh, I am. Yeah, why wouldn’t I?” Ingles responded, when asked if he feels he’s the best. “The numbers I’ve shot, the percentages, they obviously are what they are and people are going to dissect everything but, I honestly feel like they’re all going to go in when I shoot the ball.

Among small forwards, Ingles is safely within the top 15 in terms of shooting percentage with a 44.5 percent clip.
