The New York Jets just can't seem to catch a break. Just after quarterback Sam Darnold got into the Halloween spirit against the New England Patriots on national television, the Keleche Osemele story broke. A rift has reportedly formed between Osemele and his employers over a shoulder injury. The highly regarded left guard claims that he needs immediate surgery, while the Jets claim it can wait until after the season.

It's hard to see the relationship getting completely repaired, especially after head coach Adam Gase said this to the New York Daily News:

“I haven’t seen him, I mean, he’s in the training room. We’re in meetings and things like that. We haven’t had any conversations.” Gase stated.

Of course, the meetings are the only conceivable reason the two haven't spoken. It's not like they're in the same building day in, day out or anything. Oh wait, they are!

This is exactly what Jets fans feared when they hired Gase. He has a reputation for alienating his players if things aren't done exactly how he wants them to be done.

He clearly isn't all that concerned with the health of his players, which is always a poor quality to have when these guys depend on you to help make their living.

After all this, it's fair to wonder is Osemele will be traded away. He's still a starting-caliber guard that plenty of teams would love to have.

Potential suitors include the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots, despite being division rivals.
