The New York Jets visit the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. Greg Zuerlein is listed on the Jets injury report as questionable. Despite nailing a game-winning field goal against the Washington Commanders last week, Zuerlein has been limited this week with a quad injury. The question is: Will Greg Zuerlein play for the Jets against the Browns on Thursday?

Greg Zuerlein injury status vs. Browns

Though not official yet, it appears Greg Zuerlein will play for the Jets against the Browns on Thursday Night Football. The Jets announced about four hours before kickoff that fullback Nick Bawden and defensive lineman Bruce Hector had been elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster for the game. That’s a good sign Zuerlein will play because kicker Austin Seibert, signed earlier this week to the practice squad, was not elevated.

That’s excellent news for the Jets. Zuerlein is in the midst of an All-Pro caliber season and has been, arguably, their most consistent offensive player the past two seasons.

Zuerlein has connected on an insane 30 of 31 field goal attempts (96.8 percent) in 2023. His only miss was in Week 4 and he’s perfect from between 20 and 49 yards this season.

Last week against the Commanders, Zuerlein was 3-for-3 and hit the game-winner from 54 yards out with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of a 30-28 win.

The Jets need all the help they can get, considering their offense is dead last in the League and will be facing a Browns defense that is No. 1 in the NFL.

So, when it comes to the question if Greg Zuerlein is playing Thursday against the Browns, the answer is most likely.
