Since the Miami Dolphins decided to part ways with All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, he has been the most sought-after player on the open market. The New York Jets have recently jumped into the fray by making a significant contract offer to him.

This has pushed forward the chatter that the Jets could be in the running to add the 31-year-old to the mix next season. According to Christopher Dabe of NOLA.com, safety Jamal Adams believes that if New York can land Suh, it would make his team the center of attention in the 2018 campaign.

The Jets have been quite busy over the offseason adding talent through free agency with the likes of cornerback Trumaine Johnson, wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, running back Isiah Crowell, center Spencer Long, kicker Cairo Santos, linebacker Avery Williamson, and retaining cornerback Morris Claiborne. This was all topped off by trading up to third overall pick in this year's draft where they will likely snag one of the top incoming quarterback prospects.

The potential of Suh would provide them with a premier defensive presence up the middle along front seven. Although he is coming off a season where he saw a drop in production, he is still considered one of the top players in the league at his position with several more productive campaigns ahead of him. This has made his decision in free agency that much more pivotal in impacting the Jets, Los Angeles Rams, Tennesse Titans, and Seattle Seahawks.

At this point, it is just a waiting game for each of these franchises as Suh weighs his options. If anything, the fact that New York is in serious contention to land him shows the amount of positive momentum, the team has gained from this busy offseason.
