The New York Jets made a blockbuster trade when they sent Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks. They absolutely got a lot in return (including tons of draft picks), but losing a superstar defensive back of his caliber is still pretty painful.

And that's exactly how star running back Le'Veon Bell felt.

What upset Bell about the situation the most? According to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com, it was Adams he was unhappy with. The running back said Adams forced his way out after telling him he wouldn't:

“It kind of looks like he forced his way out,” Bell said. “I was talking to him and he was telling me he wasn’t going to force his way out.”

Bell said he still appreciates what Adams did on the Jets, even if he doesn’t appreciate how Adams acted at the end.

“I love playing with him,” Bell said. “He’s a great teammate. I just — sometimes you don’t like how people handle things.”

This was not really much of a revelation. Bell was basically expressing all these emotions immediately after the trade was announced.

The bigger thing here is that Bell seems ready to bury the hatchet. He talks about how great of a player and teammate Adams is. And is very complimentary in just about everything expect how he handled the situation.

So maybe this is a relationship that can be salvaged.

You could also see why Bell is upset. The running back just came to the Jets last offseason. And Adams was apparently one of the players trying to sell him on the team the most.

So there is good reason to believe Bell never even would have picked New York if it wasn't for the defensive back. And now Adams is gone, leaving the running back on a team he sold him on.

However, it is all over now. And Bell seems ready to move on. The Seahawks should be feared as legitimate Super Bowl contenders with their new superstar safety.

Meanwhile, the Jets are an exciting young team hoping a bounce-back season from their veteran star running back could propel them to a playoff run.
