Although the New York Jets have officially ushered in a new era, things have seemingly gotten off to a rocky start. Head coach Adam Gase and running back Le'Veon Bell have since done what they can to dispell any notion of friction within the team.

Rumors surfaced about Gase's feelings on the lucrative contracts some of the players received in free agency. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, Bell is adamant that there are no hard feelings between the two:

“This is a business,” said Bell, who reported to the team and participated in its first minicamp practice after skipping the voluntary portion of the offseason. “Even if the report was true, obviously, he doesn't feel like I'm not a great player.

“Maybe he just feels like, ‘Dang, maybe we could've got more great players.' I don't know. What I'm saying is, me and him, our relationship is great.”

This is certainly an encouraging update out of New York. There had been plenty of speculation regarding Gase's role in all the drama surrounding the Jets' franchise this offseason.

He caught some flak when reports regarding his criticisms of their former general manager's decision to sign players like Bell and linebacker C.J. Mosley to monster deals had surfaced. Fortunately, Bell does not seem to be perturbed by the rumors.

The Jets' star has never been shy about expressing his feelings. If there was any truth to Gase's comments, Bell has likely already added him to the long list of doubters he intends to prove wrong after sitting out the entire 2018 campaign.

He will be looking to provide the Jets with plenty of bang for their buck in the 2019 NFL season.
