The Baltimore Ravens decided to part ways with former first-round pick Breshad Perriman after three disappointing seasons with the team. And after clearing waivers, the young wide receiver is now in search of a new team, with his first stop coming in the form of a workout with the New York Jets on Monday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The No. 26 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Perriman missed his entire rookie season due to a knee injury. He returned to play all 16 games in the 2016 season, as he had 33 catches for 499 yards and three touchdowns.

However, he was unable to build off of that season in 2017, where he struggled mightily to carve out a role for himself in the Ravens offense. He played in just 11 games, racking up a mere 10 catches for 77 yards with no touchdown.

Perriman will hope to latch onto a Jets team which isn’t exactly short on receiving options. Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, and Quincy Enunwa are expected to be the team’s top three targets this year, while former 1,000-yard receiver Terrelle Pryor is also expected to play some role on the team.

Veteran Andre Roberts, Charone Peake, and ArDarius Stewart, who will be serving a two-game suspension to start the season, round out the team’s wide receiver depth chart.

The roster spots of Peake and Stewart are right there for the taking if Perriman can impress during his workout. And while he has yet to consistently show the talent that made him a first-round pick, he’s still a worthwhile high-upside prospect for the Jets to consider.
