The Week 14 matchup between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills is not by any means a marquee matchup. However, the notion of bad blood in this game certainly adds some intrigue.

The Bills flat-out dominated the Jets a few weeks ago at MetLife Stadium. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, safety Jamal Adams says New York is looking to return the favor this Sunday:

“Cut to the chase, man: It's personal,” safety Jamal Adams said Wednesday. “They came in and they whupped us. They don't like us, we don't like them, so it's going to be a tough battle.”

The Jets were virtually outplayed in every facet of the game during their first matchup with the Bills. Both teams had been forced to use their backup quarterbacks in the game. However, Matt Barkley had proven to be the superior player over Josh McCown that day. Regardless, Barkley's stellar outing was somewhat unexpected, and it seems to have left a bad taste in the defense's mouth.

It is refreshing to see some kind of rivalry building the AFC East. Even if the two teams involved are essentially fighting for third place in the division at this point. Unfortunately, New York's track record does not bode well for their chances against Buffalo on Sunday. They currently boast a 0-4 division record going into Week 14. This could very well be their best chance at preventing a winless season against AFC East opponents. It will be interesting to see if this showdown can fit the billing of a budding rivalry.
