The New York Jets have had a difficult time trying to maintain a steady offense this season. Now, the Jets will be without captivating rookie receiver Elijah Moore for a the upcoming weeks. According to The Athletic Jets reporter Connor Hughes, the Jets are putting him on the injured reserve.

The rookie from Ole Miss was unable to practice all week due to a quadriceps injury. It appeared at some points that his condition could be improving in time for him to get some late week practice in. In fact, just last night, the Jets listed him as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Saints.

However, Moore was placed on the Jets' injured reserve rather than their active roster on Saturday afternoon.

Despite their rocky season, Moore has been a great addition to the Jets' offense. He leads the team in receiving yards with 538 yards and five receiving touchdowns in 11 games. Although less frequently, head coach Robert Saleh has also utilized Moore's run game. He has 54 yards and one rushing touchdown in his first year in the NFL.

Now, Saleh and the Jets will attempt to rebuild their offensive plan for Sunday's matchup against New Orleans without Moore. The 3-9 Jets are looking to improve their losing record, which has them at the bottom of the AFC East. The Saints will attempt to earn a win and push passed their NFC South opponents: the Falcons and the Panthers. All three teams are locked with a 5-7 record, with the Buccaneers leading the division at 9-3.
