New York Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor made a significant admission on Monday revealing to the media that he broke his ankle back in May.

It was previously reported that the surgery was just a cleanup, but it makes a little more sense now why Pryor has been so limited in training camp. He has still been participating this week in the joint practices against his former team the Washington Redskins. It's a bit interesting that the Jets are running him out there against his former team this week, mainly after there were some concerns that Redskins might take some cheap shots at Pryor.

Pryor told the media that he wouldn't be participating in this weeks preseason game although he would like to get some reps at some point in a game before the season starts.

Pryor will probably make the roster, but he isn't an absolute lock, so it's still important that he shows the Jets something in the preseason that makes them have no choice but to keep him. Along with deciding if Pryor will make the roster the Jets also have a huge decision to make at the quarterback position.

The Jets have Sam Darnold, Josh McCown, and Teddy Bridgewater all on their roster and all vying for a starting spot. Darnold has started to take more of the first-team reps at the beginning of the week which could be a sign of which way the Jets are leaning, or it could just be how they are running practice this week.
