The first round series between the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls has lived up to expectations as all four matches have been hotly contested so far.

During Game 4 on Sunday, it did not take a long time before tempers began to flare. After Isaiah Canaan stole the ball from Marcus Smart and scored on a layup with 8:46 left in the second quarter, the Celtics guard and Jimmy Butler got entangled and took part in a shoving match. Fortunately, the referees were able to separate the two immediately and their teammates also made sure it will not escalate further.

Both players were assessed with a technical foul each.

Smart and his team had the last laugh on the night though, as they were able to come out with the victory and won at the United Center for the second consecutive time. After losing the first two games, they have bounced back strong and are proving that they deserve being the Eastern Conference’s top seed this season.

With the series now tied at 2-2, it can be expected that the teams will be more physical in the coming matches. The game officials are already anticipating it and will definitely pay close attention not just on the two, but to all of the players to avoid any unnecessary incidents from happening.
