Jimmy Garoppolo didn't exactly turn into a superstar quarterback, but he is still a baller. The former Patriots QB was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2017 and while there were a ton of injuries, he still led the team to one Super Bowl appearance in 2019 and has helped them reach the NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams. One of the people that helped get him there with her support was Alexandra King, his love interest for one period of time. The pair did not end on good terms but still had a solid run together. Alexandra King was born in 1995 and hails from Boston, Massachusetts. She is actually fairly younger than her former boyfriend, as Jimmy G was born four years before. Their stories are fairly different, as Garoppolo went to a small school, trying to build up a career in the NFL. On the other hand. Alexandra was working towards a degree at the Massachusetts School of Art and Design. Before that, she was also at the University of Massachusetts but clearly felt fashion design was supposed to be her calling.
The pair met in late 2017, as there were rumors about the couple percolating around media circles. Jimmy did not really speak about his personal life and never mentioned that he was dating. As the new 49ers starting quarterback, however, he clearly got the attention of Alexandra, who was becoming famous on social media at the time. She was not super known at the time, but her looks and modeling ability made her an ambassador for a few brands. It clearly got Garoppolo's attention and in 2018, Alexandra openly announced that Garoppolo was her Valentines' Day date.
While most took it as a confirmation of the relationship, Garoppolo kept stating that he was not in a relationship, and that clearly bothered Alexandra. Even though the couple made some more public appearances in 2018, they broke up fairly soon after her public revelation about their relationship. Garoppolo still insisted he did not know what the media was talking about, which was like pouring gasoline on a fire.
An even bigger issue than Garoppolo stating that he was not in a relationship with her publicly was probably the fact that Garoppolo seemingly moved on very fast after the breakup. He was seen with adult film star Kiara Mia in 2018 and it was one step too far for his ex-girlfriend and now famous Instagram model.
After the whole situation, Jimmy Garoppolo, unfortunately, tore his ACL in 2018, playing in just his third game of the season. His 49ers were left without the quarterback that played incredibly in the season just before and his fans were absolutely devastated, showing support on social media. That sentiment was not shared by Alexandra King, however, who decided to use this chance to pour salt on the wounds and share her issues with the world.
After the extent of the injury was made public, Alexandra shared a Story on social media stating just “Karma” and she put a laughing emoji next to it, as USA Today reports. Without much context, everyone who was aware of their history knew this was a comment about Jimmy's injury and while it can be understandable that Alexandra was hurt after the breakup and how Garoppolo handled the situation, this was still completely uncalled for. Many 49ers fans and fans of Garoppolo were quick to slam her and to really slam the situation she has created.
Together with the Instagram Story she posted, Alexandra also removed all posts with Garoppolo and made sure that everyone knew exactly what the picture meant and what was the idea behind it.
After their breakup, however, not too much is known about what exactly happened. The couple was a clear mismatch, as Alexandra was always looking to have her life in the public eye, especially the private parts. That is part and parcel of getting internet fame, however, especially for girls looking to be models on social media. On the other hand, Jimmy Garoppolo was always fairly closed down in terms of his personal life. He always preferred to have his football career public but not much else.
Since the breakup, Alexandra had some issues personally, especially with finding some stable work. Her Instagram Story concerning the ACL injury of her ex-boyfriend clearly did her no favors and it ultimately ended her pursuit of a career in social media modeling. She has since been off the grid completely, deleting her social media accounts. However, we still hope that both Jimmy Garoppolo and his ex-girlfriend Alexandra King can find happiness in the future.
