Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is a very active personality on social media. He is not shy to call out something that he does not like, or to ask famous pop stars out. One thing that he certainly did not like is what LaVar Ball was talking about before the 2017 NBA Draft.
While Ball did not mention Embiid at first, “The Process” decided to start a beef with the whole family. These two guys went back and forth, through tweets and short interviews. However, Embiid is ready to bury the hatchet — under one condition.
TMZ Sports caught up with Embiid and asked him if he would even consider wearing Big Baller Brand shoes. He responded by saying yes, but only if LaVar was ready to cough up $1 billion!
Now, this figure might be in reference to how much Ball is asking from other brands to secure a signature of his son, Lonzo Ball. Embiid is, of course, again taking shots at LaVar, and this beef will continue to entertain us for the time being.
Embiid and the Sixers will play Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers two times this coming season. Both of the meetings are sure to bring a lot of fireworks on and off the court.
