Nintendo has been collecting fighters from all over the world for its Smash Bros. franchise. The latest fighter to join the fray in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is Kazuya Mishima from BANDAI NAMCO's TEKKEN.

Nintendo Direct at E3 2021 started off with this Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announcement. It's a great way to kick things off, we believe. No one would have expected this (we think), and it puts all anticipation for the next Smash Bros. DLC character out of the way quickly. This allowed everyone to focus on the announcements for the rest of Nintendo's E3 Presentation.

Kazuya's TEKKEN 7 move set translated really well on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He can even transform into his Devil Gene self for some of his moves, albeit only for a short burst. After doing his Devil Gene move, he reverts back to his normal self. The trailer also There's also a tongue-in-cheek reference to Kazuya's hobby of throwing people down volcano craters, which Kirby easily dodges by simply flying away.

In any case, Kazuya's addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a welcome one. He becomes the 84th character in the game, the 12th DLC character, and the fifth character from the Fighters Pass Vol. 2. As always, there's more to just the character in this collaboration with TEKKEN. The new stages, new Mii skins, soundtrack, and spirits will be discussed during a special live stream with Masahiro Sakurai on June 28, 2021.
