Kevin Lee now finds himself signed to Khabib Nurmagomedov's MMA promotion, Eagle FC. He used to fight for the UFC and Dana White before being released.

The former UFC lightweight sees big things for himself in Khabib Nurmagomedov's promotion. It already feels like something big.

“Honestly, as soon as I walked into the building of the arena we will be fighting in, it’s huge. They put in a lot of effort, a lot of money into this and it’s already well established,” Lee said to BJPENN.com. “This is only day one so I can only imagine what day 100 will look like… At this point, I bring my eyes to myself, anywhere I go in the world, people know who I am. I bring that level of notoriety.”

Kevin Lee now has a different boss than in the UFC and he does see a difference. The money they make but also something very obvious.

“Khabib’s a little shorter and still has some hair, so you can tell he ain’t making that level of money yet,” Lee jokingly said.

Eagle FC is still new but Kevin Lee sees the potential, they can overtake Bellator and get close to the UFC and Dana White.

“It’s too early to notice. The only thing I can notice is that it has a big upside and a lot of room for growth and a lot of potential… Absolutely they can take over Bellator for the number two spot, absolutely. When the business model continues to do something outside what all these other promotions are doing it has the potential to take over everybody else,” Lee said.

Kevin Lee's first fight outside of the UFC is set to take place in March at Eagle FC. He is yet to have an opponent but the promotion wants to book him against Diego Sanchez.
