Luke Walton's attorney, Mark Baute, has issued a new statement regarding the sexual assault lawsuit that the Sacramento Kings coach is currently facing.

Walton's accuser, Kelli Tennant, and her lawyer Garo Mardirossian held a press conference on Tuesday. Tennant revealed more details about the alleged incident which she claimed took place in 2014.

“These claims are false and Luke’s innocence will be proven in court. Yesterday's press conference was a poorly staged attempt to portray the accuser as a viable spokesperson for an important movement. Her lawyers want to create a public circus to distract from their complete lack of evidence to support their outrageous claims. We will not try this case in the media or pay them a dime.”

Walton, who got hired by the Kings three days after getting fired by the Los Angeles Lakers, is being sued for allegedly assaulting Tennant back when he was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors.

As of now, the Kings are standing behind Walton. The NBA and all parties involved are taking the issue seriously and are gathering more information before making a through statement. Kings general manager Vlade Divac reportedly had no previous knowledge of the accusations until the report surfaced a couple of days ago.
