Vlade Divac owed much of his wholly unique brand of success in a storied NBA career to his unflinching confidence. The Serbian legend, to no one's surprise, certainly seems like he's retained his sense of self-worth some 15 years after his playing days concluded, posing shirtless in sunglasses, gazing off into the distance, in a photo he recently posted on Instagram. Not everyone, though, was quite so enamored with Divac's look.

Sacramento Kings star Buddy Hield didn't miss his opportunity to roast his team's general manager, responding to Divac's post by pithily demanding he put on a shirt.

Burn – both figuratively and literally.

When a user chimed in to tell Hield that he should be careful lest angering Divac to the point of a spiteful trade, he hardly expressed worry, replying, “lol he likes me too much to do that.”

It's not hard to understand why Hield is so sure of his footing with the Kings. The three-year veteran established himself as one of the most dangerous scorers in the league last season, living up to his pre-draft status as a special shooter while continuing to grow as a ball handler and finisher. He averaged 20.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, shooting 42.7 percent from three-point range on a whopping 7.9 tries per game. Hield pulled off the difficult feat of upping his usage and true shooting percentage while lowering his turnover rate, too.

The 26-year-old is eligible for a contract extension until October 15. Whether or not he re-ups with the Kings between now and then, expect Hield to remain in Sacramento for the foreseeable future after re-signing on a pricey new contract – and not just because Divac likes him so much.
