Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers claimed that he doesn't know who Harry Giles is. And now, the Sacramento Kings forward has responded.

Via Twitter, Giles took it in stride and said:

“I’m glad that shit so funny! But that’s okay everybody going to know…”

Giles was responding to an article by Christian Rivas of SB Nation. It detailed Davis and Ronnie 2k playing a quick game of 2K.

Davis and Ronnie 2K closed out the event by playing a quick exhibition game of 2K. Davis was the Denver Nuggets and Ronnie was the Sacramento Kings. During the game, Ronnie had a clear lane to the rim and threw down a ferocious dunk. Davis paused for a moment and said, “I don’t know who that is,” referring to second-year center Harry Giles.

To be fair to Giles, he's just an incoming second-year man. And in his rookie year, he spent some time in the G League which limited his exposure to NBA players.

In his rookie campaign, the 20-year-old played 58 games and averaged 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists across 14.1 minutes. He entered the NBA as one of the top prospects of his batch. Slowly and surely, Giles is living up to his potential. It seems that Davis' comments motivated him more.
