The Sacramento Kings will be looking to select an impact player with their No. 4 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Purdue star Jaden Ivey is one of the names who continues to pop up as a possible candidate, while Iowa standout Keegan Murray is also on their radar.
However, according to recent mock drafts, Ivey could be the Kings' man. But according to ESPN draft expert Jonathan Givony, Ivey isn't interested in landing in Sacramento. He hasn't worked out for the organization, either. As Givony noted though, the belief around the league is that the Kings could try to trade up for a higher pick in order to add a win-now type player to the fold alongside De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.
Ivey averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists for the Boilermakers last season but to be frank, Sacramento doesn't exactly need a guard right now. More frontcourt and wing depth is a priority, which is why Murray makes sense for this franchise. He's currently projected to go to Detroit at fifth overall, but with new head coach Mike Brown knowing Ivey's desire to play anywhere but Sac-Town, there is a good chance they take the Hawkeyes star instead if the team does keep the fourth pick and not trade up.
