Sacramento Kings rookie Marvin Bagley III had a night that he will never forget for the rest of his career. Bagley received a special gift from Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki, who is likely playing in the final season of his career.

According to Jason Jones of The Athletic, Bagley received an autographed Dirk Nowitzki jersey on Tuesday. It was after Bagley and the Kings escaped with a 125-121 win against the Mavs on the road at the American Airlines Center, which is likely Nowitzki's final game against the Kings.

Marvin Bagley III had a productive game off the bench for the Kings, as he finished with 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting. De'Aaron Fox led the way for Sacramento with 23 points on top of eight assists and five rebounds. Harrison Barnes tallied 18 points, while Buddy Hield chipped in 17 markers.

It was Sacramento's second win over the Mavs in five days. The Kings ran away with a 116-100 home win against Dallas last Thursday, during which Bagley ended up with 22 points and 12 rebounds to go along with four blocks in 28 minutes off the bench.

After that game, Dirk Nowitzki praised Bagley and the young players of the Kings. The German, who had numerous playoff battles with Kings earlier in this career, said that Sacramento has a bright future ahead of them.

“Bagley's looked great off the bench,” Nowitzki said via James Han of NBC Sports. “There's not a lot of guys that get you 20 and 10 off the bench. He's an instant problem off the bench. All these young guys, they have great upside and they'll be fun to watch for a long, long time.”

While they still have a chance to advance, the Kings are unlikely to reach the playoffs this season. However, they are assured of a better finish than last season, as their current 37-37 record is already a huge improvement from their 27-55 finish last year.
