Marvin Bagley is a power forward by trade, but with the Sacramento Kings selecting him with the second pick, and the team already having a logjam in the frontcourt next season, the Kings are going to be creative with how they use him. General Manager Vlade Divac said, via the Sacramento Bee, that Bagley could see some time at the small forward position, especially as he develops his outside shot.

Bagley said before the draft to Business Insider that he doesn't want to be limited to one position, and he just considers himself a basketball player.

“I'm a basketball player. I don't like saying I'm a position. When I get out and play and do what I do … I'm a basketball player, and that's what I pride myself on being.”

Bagley also feels like his athletism is what will cause some matchup problems on the court, and he hopes he can exploit him.

“That's a big part of my game. If I got a bigger guy on me, bring it on my side, use my quickness and athleticism to get by him. If I've got a smaller guy on me, mismatch, take him to the post and get a bucket on the inside. Being able to do both. I pride myself on that, and I work on that every single day I'm in the gym.”

The Kings have a good young core of players, and it finally looks like the future might be looking up for the organization although Divac saying this is the next super team might be a bit of a stretch.
