Wednesday's high-octane matchup between the Sacramento Kings and the Chicago Bulls went down the wire. It was the Kings that emerged with a narrow 128-124 victory, with rookie Tyrese Haliburton draining a dagger trey to spoil Bulls guard Coby White's career performance.

Haliburton, who was coming off a two-game absence due to a wrist injury, finished Wednesday's win with 17 points (on 7-of-15 shooting), to go along with three triples, seven rebounds, six assists, three steals, a block, and zero turnovers in 35 minutes of play. It was an impressive showing from the 20-year-old, who in the process, tied a long-standing statistical record set by former Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins nearly a decade ago:

It would have been Coby White's evening had it not been for Halbiurton's heroics, with the second-year Bulls point guard coming out with arguably his best performance in a Bulls uniform:

Wednesday's victory marked Sacramento's fourth win of the season. This was their first win of the new year, after kicking off 2021 with back-to-back losses against the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors.

The Kings get the night off on Thursday but will return to action in a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday against the Toronto Raptors and the Portland Trail Blazers, respectively.
