The Sacramento Kings are playing above expectations this season, but their front-office turmoil just keeps on churning. Despite the rumored differences in the organization, Kings general Vlade Divac still has no plans to fire head coach Dave Joerger.

The Athletic's Jason Jones wrote about the disparities between Joerger and the front office, including Divac's current decision to retain the 44-year-old coach:

Nor is Joerger on his way out. Divac has no plans to fire Joerger and the coach has one more season left on his contract.

Early rumors of Joerger's dismissal displeased a lot of people considering how he has successfully motivated his young players to play this season. Without a true All-Star on their roster, the Kings are sitting on a 10-11 win-loss card, an impressive feat for one of the youngest teams in the league right now.

Reports have circulated that Joerger believes assistant general manager Brandon Williams has been searching for a replacement coach for some time now. Things got even more heated between them when Joerger asked Williams to leave during the team's Thursday shootaround. Kings fans don't seem to be happy with Williams' approach:

Fans have called for Williams’ dismissal, but it’s clear he still has a measure of support within the organization. If not, moves to make changes to the team’s training staff, which were driven by Williams, would not have been allowed to happen.

So does the organization need to pick sides and someone has to go? That’s not happening as of now. Williams was scouting college talent in Maui last week, not the action of someone on the way out.

The Kings will face the Indiana Pacers on Saturday.
