Current and former Sacramento Kings players are some of the latest NBA personalities to take part in the peaceful protests calling for justice for the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police on May 25. 28-year-old forward Harrison Barnes was front and center, as he passionately addressed the Sacramento crowd about the need to take the necessary steps after protesting.

According to Barnes, it is vitally important for people to vote:

The message is not something we've heard for the first time, but we need to give props to Barnes for a beautiful delivery. Simply put, he is calling for everyone to stand up and make their voices heard where it counts: at the ballot box.

Former Kings guard Bobby Jackson was also in attendance, as was Matt Barnes, and both men delivered very inspiring speeches as well:

Another prominent former Kings player who made an appearance was Doug Christie. The 50-year-old marched with the crowd as he too chose to stand up for his beliefs:

Even Kings owner Vivek Ranadive spoke out, calling for unity among all races:

This was a great show of unity by the Kings organization as they collectively join in on the fight against social injustices on all fronts. This has been a long and drawn-out battle, and there's no denying that it's still going to be a gargantuan fight ahead. However, this type of collective effort is not something that one can ignore.
