New York Knicks fans need not worry. A recent ankle injury to Kevin Knox isn't as serious as the previous one, according to head coach David Fizdale.

Per Ian Begley of ESPN, the ankle injury which forced Knox to leave his game with the L.A. Clippers on Sunday isn't as serious as the 19-year-old's injury earlier in the season.

Per Marc Berman of the New York Post, Fizdale said Knox will be listed as day-to-day.

Below is the unfortunate play. As Knox rose for the jumper, Patrick Beverley jumped up to contest it. Sadly, Knox landed on Beverly's feet, causing it to twist.

In the 124-113 loss, Kevin Knox had 11 points and one rebound in across 19 minutes. With fewer than 10 games remaining in the regular season, will the Knicks play it safe by shutting him down? Or will Fizdale try to play him more so he can gain more experience?

For the season, the ninth overall draft pick is averaging 12.6 points per game, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists across 28.4 minutes. Among rookies, he's seventh in scoring and is considered one of the best in his batch.

He proved that he's worth all the hype through his 31-point performance (52 percent from the field, 4 of 9 3-pointers) in their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 13. Moving forward, hopefully, his ankle won't cause much of a problem. Knox possesses great upside.
