New York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton believes that his team's biggest asset is their depth.

Payton, considered one of the top young guards in the league, chimed in on the strength of his new team. For the new Knicks guard, their squad does not have a hole and is well-equipped at every position.

Per Marc Berman of the New York Post:

“Our depth,” new point guard Elfrid Payton said Sunday when asked to identify the team’s strength. “I really believe that we’re two deep at every position. There’s no drop-off. That’s where we’re going to do our best.”

Payton is one of the seven players that the team acquired from the free agency market over the summer. Among the Knicks' key additions are Bobby Portis, Marcus Morris and Julius Randle.

Apart from their new pickups, the Knicks' current players are expected to turn it up a notch in the 2019-20 season. The likes of Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina and Mitchell Robinson are primed to make a leap this year.

As for Payton, he has proven before that when he's healthy, he has the capacity to be the most productive guards in the league. He has a chance to showcase that once again while donning a new jersey and with a talented set of teammates.
