New York Knicks guard Frank Ntilikina is one of France's most exciting young players. The French faithful are in luck because according to FIBA, Ntilikina will join the French National Team in their FIBA World Basketball Cup 2019 European Qualifiers in September.

France will play Bulgaria and Finland on Sept. 13 and 16, respectively. France sits atop their group with 12 points. They're trailed by the Czech Republic (11), Russia (9), Finland (9), Bulgaria (8), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (8). France should be able to advance from this group with relative ease. The top three teams from the group advance.

The young guard had an up and down rookie season in New York, but he showed glimpses of brilliance—especially on the defensive end.

The Frenchman averaged 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. Despite Ntilikina's pedestrian numbers, he still possesses tremendous upside due to his length, athleticism, and ability to play stifling defense on the perimeter.

The French Prince had a positive showing in the Las Vegas Summer League, despite only appearing in two games. He showed an aggressiveness that was absent during his first season in New York. His handle was improved, he showed a willingness to penetrate, and even knocked down a few tough turnarounds.

Of course, summer league play should be taken with a grain of salt, but it was still a positive showing from the 20-year-old. Knicks fans should tune into the September qualifiers to see if this perceived improvement is evident in international play as well.
