Heading into the 2017-18 NBA season, the New York Knicks have dominated the headlines with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis. While it appears Porzingis' future with the Knicks is stable since Phil Jackson is no longer the team's President, Carmelo Anthony is reportedly still eyeing the Houston Rockets.

As teams are filling out their training camp rosters, the Knicks have signed three players according to Ian Begley of ESPN:

Jamel Artis, who went undrafted out of Pittsburgh, impressed the Knicks during his time at Summer League. He averaged 18.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists as he received All-ACC honorable mention honors.

In addition, the Knicks also signed Nigel Hayes. Hayes made headlines during the NCAA Tournament in March when he described New York as ‘too big' and ‘dirty.' His agent told The New York Post his client was ‘completely' joking.

While all three players will have an opportunity to make the opening night roster against the Oklahoma City Thunder, all the attention will remain on Anthony. With the Knicks reportedly not interested in Ryan Anderson's remaining three-year, $60 million deal, it will likely have to be a three-team trade.

As the new front office is being patient, it would be best to completely rebuild around Porzingis.
