New York Knicks RJ Barrett exited the game against the Phoenix Suns after suffering a sprained ankle. Barret did not return to the game on Thursday's 121-98 loss against the Suns.

As Barret was driving down the lane for a layup, Ricky Rubio fouled him on his way up. Fortunately, Barrett was able to walk to the locker room on his own, however, it's unclear how bad the ankle sprain really is. The 19-year-old had seven points and 3 rebounds before he exited the game in the third quarter.

Barrett has been playing phenomenal these past two weeks averaging 19 points and 5.8 rebounds in six games. He's been efficient on the offensive side of his game shooting over 46 percent from the field in the past six games. He's also improved significantly in his free throw percentage since the beginning of the season.

In October, RJ Barrett was averaging 40.7 percent from the free-throw line for the month. As of January, he's currently averaging 77 percent for the month. The third overall pick of the draft is averaging 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for the season.

The Knicks are currently the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 11-30. They have struggled this season despite signing experienced players like Marcus Morris and Julius Randle in the offseason. New York will most likely have a lottery pick once again this season for the upcoming draft. They're seeking to snap their two-game losing streak on Saturday's showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers.
