The New York Knicks made some big moves on Thursday night during the 2022 NBA Draft. The team pulled the trigger on a couple of trade deals with the objective of clearing up as much cap space as possible to make a run at Dallas Mavericks free-agent Jalen Brunson. It's a bold decision, to say the least, and Stephen A. Smith is having none of it.

The ESPN broadcaster spoke about the Knicks on Friday's episode of First Take. Stephen A came out with a shocking declaration about his decision to no longer attend live games in Madison Square Garden this coming season:

“The New York Knicks are a disaster,” Smith said (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter). “I'm not happy at all. I'm not gonna say another word about them for this show but this. I'm not gonna call for a boycott, I'm not gonna go that far… I'm telling you right here, right now, I'm not going to the Garden next year. I won't go one game. I'm so disgusted with them. They're not doing this to me anymore. I'm sick and tired of this nonsense.”

Smith is a huge Knicks fan, and this clearly takes a lot from him to not want to watch his team in their own home court in 2022-23. Stephen A. went on to clarify, however, that he's not encouraging Knicks fans to follow suit, and that he's come to this decision for his own health and sanity.

Finally, Smith ended with a truth bomb about how he now firmly believes that the Knicks have now become worse than the Dallas Cowboys. If you know Stephen A, then you should have an idea of how much he despises the Cowboys. This only puts further emphasis on his recent statement about his beloved Knicks.
